Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool, using Real Time Statistics line
command RTS, the resulting display in panel adb21ss fails to
show valid numerical data for some columns.
.
Issuing I (Info) line command on panel adb21ss shows the
same garbage characters (unformatted field contents) for same
data in panel adb21ssi .
.
Formatting problem occurs on DB2 v910 NFM only.
.
LRSN column data is reported by customer, and recreated in local
testing.
SIZE column data is reported by customer, but not recreated in
local testing.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the I line command on panel  *
*                      ADB21SS and ADB21XS the "LRSN or RBA    *
*                      of first update after last COPY" field  *
*                      contains non printable characters.      *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
The field is defined in DB2 as CHAR(6) FOR BIT DATA and contains
unprintable data.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Panels ADB21SSI and ADB21XSD will display the field in HEX.
