This document describes how to download and install fix pack 8.2.0.3 for IBM Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality, Version 8.2 on Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Prerequisites

Before you can install this fix pack, you must update Installation Manager to version 1.4.1 or later. Whenever you use Installation Manager to update an installed package, it automatically updates itself if necessary.

Installation Instructions

IBM Rational Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality, Version 8.2 must already be installed.

Automatic Update
Install the Rational Service Tester 8.2.0.3 update using the Update wizard in IBM Installation Manager.

  1. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Click Update.

Manual Update
You can also download the update and install it locally.

  1. Download the Rational Service Tester 8.2.0.3 update .zip files. See the following Download package table for the URL.
  2. Extract the files to a temporary directory with a directory structure resembling this example:
    • rst_update\disk1

    The base directory must be named disk1.

  3. Start IBM Installation Manager.
  4. Click File > Preferences.
  5. Click Add Repository.
  6. Specify the directory where disk1 is located, according to the following example:

    ...\rst_update\disk1\diskTag.inf

  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click OK to close the Preferences window.
  10. From the main Installation Manager window, click Update.

Rational Team Concert 3.0
Rational Team Concert 3.0 is available for installation with Rational Service Tester 8.2.0.3. For more information, see Performance and service testing with Rational Team Concert.
