PROBLEM SUMMARY

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment edition migrating a Deployment Manager from version 6 or version 5 , to version 7, where the deployment contains a version 6 cell with an application embedding a resource archive (RAR) module.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A FeatureNotFoundException occurs starting applications with embedded RAR files after migrating a Deployment Manager to version 7.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

When a version 6 or version 5 , application server starts an application with an embedded RAR file, the application will fail to start and the following exception stack trace appears in the system log:

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Added code to eliminate unexpected feature in version 5 or version 6 configuration.
