**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS V11 Full Function users with * * transactions defined as INQUIRY=YES and * * issuing the RLSE call. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: STATUSAM is returned on a DL/I RLSE * * call when the transaction is defined * * as INQUIRY ONLY ( INQUIRY=YES ). * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** Prior to IMS V11 a new DL/I release ( RLSE ) call was added to release all locks held for unmodified data. When this RLSE call is issued for an inquiry only transaction ( transaction defined as INQUIRY=YES ), module DFSDLA00 sets a STATUSAM instead of allowing the call to be processed.
