Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: DB2 V9 users of XML schema validation * * functions with LOCALE LCTYPE specified. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When user specifies LOCALE LCTYPE=fi_FI * * or any other unsupported language * * during XML schema validation, an abend * * occurs with the following console * * messages: * * * * DSNX966I DSNX9WLS STORED PROCEDURE OR * * FUNCTION SYSFUN.DSN_XMLVALIDATE_NAME_ * * VARCHAR FAILED LE/370 CEEPIPI ENCLAVE * * RC=0000, FEEDBACK INFORMATION = CEE3352 * * * * DSNX905I or DSNX906I message: * * DSNX905I DSNX9CAC PROCEDURE OR FUNCTION * * SYSFUN.DSN_XMLVALIDATE_NAME_VARCHAR * * TERMINATED ABNORMALLY. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The XML schema validation function could not handle the language specified in LOCALE LCTYPE if that language is currently not supported. The ABORT process is called for the unsupported language and therefore leads to the abend.
Problem conclusion
The XML schema validation function has been changed to not abend when the language specified in the LOCALE LCTYPE is not supported. We will default it to English, LOCALE LCTYPE=en_EN. Keywords: SQLLOCALE MSGDSNX905I MSGDSNX906I MSGDSNX966I SQLXML
