Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS GEN and Migrate functions
will fail with the following error if catalog statistics is
generated on DB2 v9. In addition a BIGINT column in
    SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACESTATS or SYSIBM.SYSINDEXSPACESTATS must
have a value greater than 2147483648 (max value of integer).
If you want to search your existing batch jobs.
Look for GENSTATS in the PARMS('.../GENSTATS...') statement
    for each GEN step.
    SQLCODEN304:
ADB2RES: Unexpected sqlcode in : Fetch c_tablespacestats first
DSNT408I SQLCODE = -304, ERROR: A VALUE WITH DATA TYPE BIGINT
CANNOT BE ASSIGNED TO A HOST VARIABLE BECAUSE THE VALUE IS NOT
WITHIN THE RANGE OF THE HOST VARIABLE IN POSITION 32 WITH
    DATA TYPE INTEGER
    DSNT418I SQLSTATE = 22003 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE
DSNT415I SQLERRP = DSNXROHB SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR

Local fix

  • Select NO for the catalog statistics option in GEN and MIG
    when running on DB2 9.
