Error description

  • Environment: zOS 1.8 WDI 3.2.1
    *
When reconstructing a transacation using the Transaction Store
Facility on the host, WDI returns the following error message:
"TF0061*08*A call to a DataInterchange Service resulted
    in an error.
    ****MODULE = EDITFIE CCC$T62M J1, LINE = 867,
     SERVICE = EDIFF06, FUNCTION = 1, CCB_RC = 8, CCB_ERC = 5 "
    *
    Steps to Recreate:
    1. import customer's map and compile.
    2. run job v1mikeg.pmr06592.jcl(xadfedi)
    3. On the host open the Transaction Store Facility.
    4. Choose Option 12.
    5. Type / beside the Trading Partner and network criteria.
    6. Press enter twice.
    7. Type C beside the BLAIKLOCK Trading Partner
    8. You will then get a message saying 'An internal error
    occurred -- see error log'

Local fix

  • use Batch.

Problem summary

  • When reconstructing a transaction using the Transaction Store
Facility on the host, WDI returns the following error message:
"TF0061*08*A call to a DataInterchange Service resulted
    in an error.
    ****MODULE = EDITFIE CCC$T62M J1, LINE = 867,
    SERVICE = EDIFF06, FUNCTION = 1, CCB_RC = 8, CCB_ERC = 5 "

Problem conclusion

  • The repository call failed because the std doc id was not
provided. The code was changed to pass the doc id from the
    facility to the reconstruct code.

Temporary fix

  • none, it fails only when the docid was used
    with the transaction.

Comments

  • Return code from EDIFF06 is interpreted as
    0008,0005,None,0,
An error is detected in the interchange header or trailer.
No transactions in the interchange are translated.
    Processing continues.
fixed in WDI 3.2 part of CSD29
WDI 3.3 changes will surface in SFP4
