Problem
XOD-CON-0001 error when creating MSAS data source connection in Cognos Analytics. Getting following errors
Symptom
Microsoft Analysis Services 20XX (ODBO) / Compatible Failed QFS-ERR-0138 The data source 'MXX' is not supported by any provider.
Microsoft Analysis Services 20XX (ODBO) / Dynamic Failed XOD-CON-0001 Failed to connect to OLE DB for the provider (Microsoft Analysis Services 20XX) and server. The data provider returned an error message: "CCLAssertError: CCL_ASSERT(NULL != m_pIDBInitialize);".
Where XX can be 12,14 or 16 based on SQL Server version.
