JFS2 snapshot based Image backup may not be performed

Troubleshooting


Problem

Image backup may fail to be performed using JFS2 snapshot with the following message. Unable to take a JFS2 snapshot for volume '/fs_name'

Symptom

Image backup may fail to be performed using JFS2 snapshot with the following messages.

# dsmc backup image /fs_name -snapshotproviderimage=JFS2
IBM Spectrum Protect
Command Line Backup/Archive Client Interface
...
/bin/sh: lsjfs2: not found
/bin/sh: umount: not found
...
Image backup of volume '/fs_name'
Unable to take a JFS2 snapshot for volume '/fs_name'.
Operation will be performed without using a snapshot.
Using static image backup for volume '/fs_name'

Because static image backup attempted to umount the file system, it may fail with ANS1163E if other applications open files or directories during the operation.

ANS1163E Filesystem could not be unmounted.
