Abstract

IBM intends to deprecate support for IBM Cognos Insight - Distributed mode as a client for IBM TM1 applications.

With the release of IBM Planning Analytics 2.0.5, IBM announces the deprecation of the use of Cognos Insight – Distributed mode when used with TM1 Applications. Cognos Insight in Connected mode and TM1 Application Web will continue to be supported. This is the last release of IBM Planning Analytics to provide this capability.

IBM Cognos Insight – Connected mode provides equivalent functions with the exception of the ability to work off-line. If the ability to work off-line is an important capability IBM recommends the use of Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel.
