'Error: Failed to retrieve environment variable "JAVA_HOME"' inside installation log file

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer installs Controller. Inside the installation log file ("isconfig-CNTRL-xxxxx.log"), there is an error message.

Symptom

isconfig-CNTRL-<date_time>.log (located in folder C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\ccr_64\instlog)
