Error description

  • Client is testing ICAl function in IMS V10 and got
    timeout ( error code 100 104) .
    In IMS connect they see µ
    HWSP1485E PASSING TO TCP/IP ASYNC FAILED;
    F=WRITE   , R=s1, E=140, M=SDXM, ID=HWSHSK8Y, IPv4=10.163.74.51
    It was determined this was caused by a maintenance mismatch .
    IMS OTMA had PM09695, but IMF AMRA had not PM12613 .
    IMF should either test fir this situation and act accordingly,
    or this maintenance should be made coreq of each other in
    SMP.

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF *
    ****************************************************************
    The ACK for a callout message is not properly processed when
    OTMA SPE PM12142 and IMS Connect APAR PM12172 are installed, but
    not the TMRA APAR PM12612(V10) or the TMRA APAR PM12613(V11).
    The correlation token is not in the ACK after the callout
    message is sent to the client which causes the message HWSP1485E
    to be issued when the ICAL is timed out.

    Keyword: MSGHWSP1485E

Problem conclusion

  • GEN:
    KEYWORDS:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***
    HWSDDXMT has been modified to check if the correlation token is
    in the ACK to properly set the flags in the OTMA header. This
    will prevent the HWSP1485E message.
