Error description
Per PMR-86350,550,000 ================================================================ FSYTPA00, FSCCOBOL and FSYTPA00 AMODE problem Prerequisites are : IMU V3.2 base tape and the following PTFs: UK50212 , UK51339, UK56786, UK60387, UK62729 , UK62756, UK64529 and UK66901. Date created: 05/12/2011 Users Affected All IMU users of MU V3.2 and prior versions Problem Description Abend S0C4 in FSSCOBOL (CSECT FSMVSUTL) Problem Summation This problem occurs when IMU is invoked from a vendor program that has been linked with AMODE(24)or AMODE(ANY). The problem occurs because IMU's modules are linked with AMODE(ANY). When IMU's modules are linked with AMODE(31) everything works fine. Problem Conclusion The following IMU modules have been linked with AMODE(31) to eliminate the ABEND: FSCCOBOL XXCCOBOL FSCASSEM FSYTPA00 Note: This APAR is not required for users not experiencing any problems with the existing system. If your current system is running fine, there is no need to apply the APAR as you are already executing in AMODE(31). The above modules will be permanently linked with AMODE(31) in a future release of IMU and not in a PTF. This APAR will allow customers the ability to test and verify their programs for AMODE 31 compatibility before it is officially released. The APAR is required for those users who are experiencing problems when IMU is invoked from a vendor program such as ENDEVOR and other custom software linked with AMODE(24) or AMODE(ANY). After applying the APAR the users, who invoke IMU from a home grown program loader, should test at least one job to make sure that their loader works fine. ================================================================
