PERSONID or USERID in Work Order Changed By fields

Troubleshooting


Problem

This document will provide you information how this field is populated.

Symptom

In Work Order Tracking app, when you change the status of a workorder, the data is written to WOSTATUS table. If you look in Application Designer, for the Changed By field properties, in the View Workorder History, we see the Changed By field is set to the CHANGEBY attribute.

But in Database Configuration app, if you search for the WOSTATUS table and select CHANGEBY, you will see it shows that CHANGEBY is the same as PERSONID.

The problem is that in Work Order Tracking app, in View Workorder History, the dialog however shows my user name, not your PERSONID.

You may expect that Maximo should display PERSONID. There is a similar behavior on the Work Log tab, where "Created By" shows USERID being displayed also.
