File level restore error ANS3101E and iSCSI error 1022 on Linux

Troubleshooting


Problem

The file Level restore process can sometimes fail with ANS3101E and iSCSI time outs on the mount operation.

Symptom

The mount operation output messages will for example look like :

Starting the mount operation for file restore
Restoring VM configuration information for '<guestname>'
ANS3155I The Windows data mover is '<Windows MP host name>' (<Windows MP IP>)
ANS3156I The iSCSI server address used is '<Windows MP IP>'
The selected VM is a Linux VM
ANS3157I The Linux data mover is '<Linux MP host name>' (<Linux MP IP>)
The Linux iSCSI Initiator Name is "iqn.1994-05.com.redhat:586ddf8abe97".
