PM31498: UNABLE TO CREATE TIME BASED PARTITION CUBES IN PARALLEL

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a customer create 5 time based partition cubes in parallel
  by Transformer SDK automation(VBScript), TR1901 error occurs
  randomly during updating cube phases and they can't build some
  of the cubes. If they build each cube individually, this error
  doesn't occurs. In the script, unique 'DataWorkDirectory' and
  'ModelWorkDirectory' has been specified.??TR1901 PDS-PCT-0004
  PowerPlay Data Server cannot open the backup file for copying.

  occurs if the customer uses cogtr.exe instead of the script. ?
  

Local fix

• 1 set  %<Environment Variables>% in Environment->Temporary Files
   location in Cognos Configuration. ( i.e. %TEMPTEST% ) 2 specify
   unique temp location for the environment variable in each scrip
  t (batch file).   Note: This is a valid workaround if only Cogno
  s Transformer is installed and NO other Cognos products are inst
  alled.
