    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Provide rununder support for IMS V12. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR is making changes for the following issues:
Provide rununder support for IMS V12.
    1. IMS V12 added new event records, IMS Connect type 1 commands,
an IMS Connect configuration member keywords
    2. An abend 0C4 can occur when the CEX trace is active and the
amount of data to trace is 1 byte shorter than the CEX trace
buffer. The abend occurs in module CEXTECL
    3. Provide support for IMS Connect APAR PM04698.
    4. CEX Security checking is not performed for HWSJAVA0 client
if event recording is not active.
    5. Event record decimal 61 flag CERE_61_CX1_FLAG1 is incorrect
when the message exit call function is EXER

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1. Provide toleration support to the new events, type 1 commands
    and configuration keyword changes
    2. Changed the CEX trace code in module CEXTECL to detect that
there is less than 2 bytes of trace buffer left and handle the
    situation accordingly.
    3. When IMS Connect APAR PM04698 is installed, CEX now creates a
CE trace event record showing the SCI data sent and received in
IMS Connect from the IMS SCI environment.
    4. If event recording was not active, the CEX security process
did not properly detect an HWSJAVA0 client and so security
checking was not performed when event collection was not active.
    5. Message exit parmlist field EXPEXR_FLAG1 is at a different
offset when the exit call function is for EXER. Corrected
CEXTECL to use the correct offset for EXPEXR_FLAG1 when building
    the CERE_61_CX1_FLAG1.
