    ****************************************************************
The CICS TG installer writes the affected batch files in UTF-8
rather than using the system encoding. This causes the install
path used by those files to contain incorrect characters. This
prevents the batch files from installing the correct messages.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Transaction Gateway has been changed so that the batch
files are written using the system encoding, which does not
introduce incorrect characters into the install path when
DBCS characters are used. The resulting batch files run
correctly, copying the correct message files to the install
    location.
