    DFR V2R2 supports IMS V12.
The main items for this support are as follows:
     - Run under support of IMS V12 for the existing functions of
        DFR V2R2
     - Support of IMS V12 new functions
        . Fast Path Secondary Index
          - IMS V12 provides the infrastructure to support Fast
Path secondary indexes for DEDB databases.
        . IMPORT Command Enhancement
          - The type-2 IMPORT command is enhanced to support an
            UPDATE option.
        . Logger Enhancements
          - WADS definition is enhanced internally to improve
            logging performance.
. Fast Path usability and serviceability enhancement
          - IMS logs DEDB updates in the X'5950' log record.
IMS V12 provides a new option, FULLSEG, to specify that
the full segment image is to be logged.
    *
    Limitations:
     - DFR does not support IMS log data set as a DFSMS striped
extended-format data set, which is supported by IMS
       Version 12 Release 1.

Comments

  • A set of modules and macros that have module/macro name suffix
'C' was added in order to support IMS V12.
    *
The following module and macro have been modified.
DFRMAIN0 - V12 was added as an IMS version that DFR supports.
DFRCOPYR - The "change date" of the copyright for modules was
               changed.
    *
The following modules are modified to be re-assembled for
    including in new load modules.
    DFRCHDR0, DFRCTCV0, DFRCTIM0, DFRCZCV0
    *
The following sample JCLs have been replaced.
DFRLINK - The additional modules by this PTF were added.

                        :
        MINVERS=8.1|9.1|10.1    ( for IMS V10 )
        MINVERS=9.1|10.1|11.1   ( for IMS V11 )
Specifies the same value as the minimum version of
IMS that can sign on to DBRC (also referred to as MINVERS)
that is in the DBRC RECON data sets of IMS system that is
         to be recovered.
    | This parameter can not be specified in IMS V12.
    | If MINVERS=10.1 or 11.1 is specified, or IMS DEDB Fast
    | Recovery is run in IMS V12, the following time is in
         microsecond precision:
    .
         - The "UOR TIME(OFFSET)" in Backout Required PSB list
         - The "1ST BLK TIME" in OLDS Sort list
         - The "UORTIME" of DBRC commands to create backout records
    .
This parameter is valid only when DBRC=N in IMS V10 or V11.
If DBRC=Y is specified, or if the DBRC= parameter is
omitted, this parameter will be ignored.
The default is MINVERS=8.1 for IMS V10.
The default is MINVERS=9.1 for IMS V11.
(It is the same as the default value of supported DBRC.)
