PM20003: PIF MODIFY CSR FAILS IF SR NAME INCLUDES AN EMBEDDED BLANK, OR AN "*", OR "%" SYMBOL.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The TWSz PROGRAMMING INTERFACES manual states PIF MODIFY CSR
  and CSRCOM requests are handled as if MATCHTYP EXA were coded,
  but that is not correct.  If the SRNAME contains an imbedded
  blank, or an asterisk or percent sign the parsing stops at the
  first blank, or an ABEND0C1 occurs when the * or % is found.
  .
  Thus it is not possible to use the PIF to modify a special
  resource with an embedded blank or a non-alphameric character
  in the resource name.

Problem conclusion

• The code was modified in order to consider the
  blank, asterisk and percent sign as a part of the
  resource name.
