Question

How do I determine the version the software my PCAP appliance is running from CLI?

Cause

Verification of PCAP software from CLI to see whether I am on the current build.

Answer

To resolve this issue.

  1. Using an SSH session log in to the PCAP appliance as root.
  2. Using CLI run the following command:
    cat /root/version.txt

Results: You now have the version of PCAP software.
