Question
How do I configure SMS notifications by using Twilio?
Cause
This task is not yet included in the Knowledge Center documentation for Maximo Asset Health Insights.
Answer
Prerequisite: You must have a Twilio phone number or account. Go to https://www.twilio.com.
1. Apply the Twilio certificate to your web server.
2. In IBM Maximo Asset Management, go to the Endpoints application and open the TWILIOSMS endpoint.
- a) Complete the ACCOUNT_SID, AUTH_TOKEN, and FROM_PHONE properties by using the API credentials of your Twilio account.
b) In the TWILIO_BASEURL property, in the Value field specify https://api.twilio.com/2010-04-01/.
- a) Open the Person record for a user who wants to receive Twilio SMS notifications.
b) In the Primary SMS field, include the phone number that is associated with your Twilio account.
c) Repeat steps 3a) and 3b) for every user who wants to receive Twilio SMS notifications.
- a) In the Manage Events section select SMS as the default.
b) In the Subscription section, select Use Default.
