PM73698: Unable to Delete DOORS Module Views which contain umlaut (special characters) in their names.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If DOORS Module Views contain umlaut (special characters) in
  their names, such views cannot be deleted. They end up with a
  DXL Error.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  --------------------------------------
  1. start DOORS client
  
  2. create a new module
  
  3. open new module
  
  4. create a new view
  
  5. name view with '???'
  
  6. save
  
  7. try to delete view, which was created in step 4 and 5
  
  8. this action runs in the following error:

  Workaround: Rename the Views so that they don't contain Umlaut
  (special characters) in them and then Delete the View.

  Attempting to delete a view with extended characters in the
  name results in an error message and the view cannot be
  deleted.
  

Problem conclusion

• The file locking was attempting to create an invalid
  filename (using the extended characters).  Changed to create
  valid Win32 filenames.
