Comments
This APAR is being returned because the supplied documentation is insufficient to resolve the problem. The reported problem is the double freemain of a RMOFRMLK. An IMS system has an LU6.2 connection to a CICS TOR region which has an MRO connection to a CICS AOR. A Distributed Transaction Processing DTP CONNECT PROCESS request from the IMS system causes a transaction to be started on the CICS TOR, which is transaction routed to the CICS AOR. The task in the CICS AOR issues a SYNCPOINT ROLLBACK. During BACKOUT processing the CICS RM Resource Manager calls DFHCR2U PERFORM_COMMIT for the APPC session to IMS which fails because the conversation with the remote region has been lost. Message DFHRM0107 is issued. Transaction CLQ2 is attached on the TOR for RESYNC, a new session is allocated and the RESYNC receives a positive response from IMS. A call to DFHRMLN SET_RECOVERY_STATUS RESET is issued resulting in message DFHRM0110. As part of CLQ2 processing the RMOFRMLK link is freed. During transaction termination of the user task on the TOR the RMOFRMLK link is freed for a second time, resulting in the reported double freemain failure. It has not been possible to recreate this problem with the information available in the supplied documentation. Consequently this APAR is being RETurned to request further documentation. The additional documentation requirements will be as follows. The CICS dump from the freemain failure and the CICS message log. In order to disable the Storage Manager Quickcell mechanism so that all the getmain/freemain activity can be seen in the trace, SIT parameter STNTRSM=ALL should be specified in the startup JCL. The dump should contain a large internal trace with all CICS components set to level 1 except for AP, IS, TC and RM which should be set to 1-2 (All).
