Summary
Due to a missing HTTP Strict Transport Security header an unaware user can navigate by mistake to the unencrypted version of the web application or accept invalid certificates. This leads to sensitive data being sent unencrypted over the wire.

DESCRIPTION: IBM BigFix Inventory v9.x could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by the failure to properly enable HTTP Strict Transport Security. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information using man in the middle techniques.

Remediation/Fixes
Upgrade to version 9.2.6 or later using the following procedure:
- In IBM Endpoint Manager console, expand IBM BigFix Inventory or IBM License Reporting (ILMT) node under Sites node in the tree panel.
- Click Fixlets and Tasks node. Fixlets and Tasks panel will be displayed on the right.
- In the Fixlets and Tasks panel locate Upgrade to the newest version of IBM BigFix Inventory 9.x or Upgrade to the newest version IBM License Metric Tool 9.x fixlet and run it against the computer that hosts your server.
