Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: 01.All RDz users                             *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 01.The client could not connect to the *
    * remote system at all. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    01.When RDz Daemon receives a new connect request, the Daemon
       sends the connect request to the threadpool process.
       When the threadpool process does not send back a new socket
       for the client logon in a definite time, the daemon process
       marks the threadpool process as timeout status.
       When the timeout occurs, the Daemon tries to send a data to
       the threadpool monitor thread and the Daemon process resets
       the timeout status if the threadpool monitor sends back ack
       to the Daemon process in a definite time.
       But the main thread in the threadpool process hung but the
       threadpool monitor thread is running normally. In this case,
       the timeout status is reset but the timeout occurs again when
       the Daemon process tries to send a new connect request to
       this main thread of the threadpool process.

Problem conclusion

  • 01.Now, when the timeout occurs, the Daemon process tries to
       send data to the main thread of the threadpool process to
       examine whether the timeout condition is solved.
