PM62100: MSGIQC3001E RECEIVED RUNNING RECOVERDM SELECT STEP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error message " IQC3001E CHKPT card missing " received with
  IQCSELCT step after upgrading QCF maintenance.  This issue
  is related to input from IMS V4, V5 and V6. More details
  will follow on close.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of QCF3.1 which use the program    *
  *                 IQCFCKPT to create a list of valid           *
  *                 checkpoints and create the CHKPT statement   *
  *                 for next IQCSELCT step.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In some cases the flags for IMS         *
  *                      releases overlap- so that IMS           *
  *                      releases 11/12 are assumed to be        *
  *                      releases 4/5.                           *
  *                      No valid checkpoints are found and      *
  *                      the control file for next IQCSELCT      *
  *                      step is empty.                          *
  *                      RECOVERDM and RECOVERAB procedures      *
  *                      can not end succesful.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  Support for IMS releases lower than IMS6 is removed from the
  programs.
  

Problem conclusion

• Install the fix to have the control file for IQCSELCT step
  created.
