Error description

  • In the panel :  Global security > Federated repositories >
    Manage repositories > InternalFileRepository
    if we set the loginProperties values, it overwrites the
    baseDirectory and fileName. This causes login to fail.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Setting the InternalFileRepository      *
    *                      loginProperties through the             *
    *                      console causes login to fail            *

    In the panel Global security > Federated repositories > Manage
    repositories > InternalFileRepository if we set the
    loginProperties values, it overwrites the baseDirectory and
    fileName. This causes login to fail.
    

Problem conclusion

  • For the InternalFileRepository, we do not pass the
    baseDirectory and fileName parameters to the AdminTask as
    these values are not displayed on the panel.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the Recommended
    Updates page for delivery information:
