    ****************************************************************
Deployment Manager migration from V7.0 to V8.0 fails when
re-installing applications with EJB 3.0 modules.
The following error may be seen:

    com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException:

An application with one or more EJB 3.0 modules may be
incorrectly identified as supporting EJB 3.1. This is caused
when annotations processing erroneously adds the <local-bean/>
element onto a Session Bean in the EJB module. Because only
V8.0 nodes support the EJB 3.1 specification, re-installation
of that application is prevented for the original V7.0
    nodes.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix in the annotations processing component has been made to
properly set the <local-bean/> element only when required by
    the EJB 3.1 specification.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.0.0.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
