Error description
When using dd/mm/yyyy (all in lower case) for a date field in meta data composition, an error occurs saying that the format 'DD/MM/YYYY' for DATE field is not a valid SimpleDateFormat Java Format. 'MM' (in lower case) stands for minutes. ('MM' in upper case is for Month).
Local fix
A valid Date format should not mix minutes, days and years. You should use MM (in upper case) to refer to MONTH.
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: All users of Rational Programming Patterns for system z 8.0.3 PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Problem with the initial values in an example of the online help. It is related to values that must be entered in the date field for the composition of a Meta Data Aggregate entity, in the Data Element description page. The values should be 'mm' for minute and 'MM' for month.
Problem conclusion
The online help has been modified and a link to Oracle documentation had been added in the online help to help users enter values for the date format. This will be available in the Rational Programming Patterns infocenter v8.5.
