  • SQL Server Database Adapter Update command crashes or results
in return code 9 - Target Not Available in 64 bit Command
Server and Launcher, but completes successfully in Design
Studio.  No database adapter trace .dbl file is produced when
the problem occurs.

Problem Description:
The 64-bit SQL Server Adapter is causing memory corruption when
retrieving data from an input query operation.

Platforms Affected:
Windows 64 bits

Problem conclusion

  • The 64-bit version of the OLE DB Adapter properly retrieves data
from an input query operation.  Before this fix, the retrieve
operation did not allocate enough memory to hold the incoming
data, which in turn caused memory corruption.
