PM51275: "DROP EXISTING TABLE" DOESN'T WORK WHEN REFERENCING SQL SERVER TABLE IN NON-DEFAULT DATABASE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using the following syntax in the table name slot in the
  database export node:
  
  databasename.owner.tablename
  
  to create a table in a database that exists in the SQL Server
  instance but that is not the default database specified in the
  ODBC DSN being used, works as expected when creating a table.
  However, if the table already exists and I want to overwrite it
  with a subsequent stream execution, I check the "drop existing
  table" checkbox in the database export node but on the next
  stream execution I see this error:
  
  S0001[2714] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]There
  is already an object named 'xxxx' in the database.
  
  and the table is not being dropped.
  

Local fix

• A fix for this issue is targetted for Modeler 14.2 Fix Pack 3
  and 15.0
