Problem
When you encounter serious problem caused by hardware or operating system and DB2 database stops working, you will find db2dart is a powerful tool which could help you recover valuable data under such circumstances. The name of db2dart stands for Database Analysis and Reporting Tool. It examines the architectural correctness and reports any encountered errors. In addition, the option /DDEL makes db2dart capable of recovering data when the database could not be successfully started or accessesed for some reason. It reads tablespace directly, and save formatted data to text file.
