Problem summary
WDI 3.3 has regressed functionality previously available in WDI 3.2. Since migration to 3.3, EDI images are no longer being written to the Event log as they were via the WDI 3.2 option, "Log EDI standard data to event log." And, the option is no longer surfaced in WDI Client 3.3. Keywords: EDI image images event log logged logging
Problem conclusion
The logging of EDI data to the Event Log was removed in WDI 3.3. ADF data could still be logged and viewed in the Event Log. Logging of EDI data and viewing of the Event Log was considered duplicate function with the enhanced Transaction Store. This PTF will partially restore the function removed. In WDI 3.2 Logging EDI Data could be initiated via an APPDEFS flag setting or a TPPROF flag setting. Only code to check the TPPROF flag will be restored. The WDI Client EDI Options panel will be changed to allow the user to identify the Trading Partners for which logging of EDI data is to occur. The data may be viewed using the WDI Client Event Log viewer. The Log EDI data function only applies to Send Maps or Receive Maps. APARNOPUB
Temporary fix
Comments
Applies to WDI 3.3 all platforms Client help changes are required and the LOGENV flag of the PSTP Table will be surfaced on the EDI Tab of the TP panel --------------- HOLD ACTION -------------------------------- This PTF adds the Log EDI Data function for Send/Receive Maps to the Server side of the WDI Product. To fully implement this funciton, WDI Client 3.3 CFP13 must be applied. The Client CFP13 is made available on the WDI 3.3 Downloads, Client Fix Packs web pages. --------------- END HOLD ACTION ----------------------------
