Error description
Customer is tring to telnet HOST/MVS from a SUN w/s : TELNET command is issued, user is asked for the terminal type, he enters VT100 value, but at this point the session is never established, he never obtains the main application menu related to the appl defined in the DEFAULTAPPL statement. The problem is that the READ PARTITION Query List (x'FF 03') is not correctly handle and TELNET server rejects it with the 36002 sense which means 'The length is too long or too short in the READ PARTITION field. The error occurred in the WRITE STRUCTURED FIELD command'. READ PARTITION Query (x'FF 02') is correctly handled.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All telnet user's with applications that * * send READ PARTITION Query List (x'FF 03') * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer is tring to telnet HOST/MVS * * from a SUN w/s. This is true for a READ PARTITION QUERY, but not for a READ PARTITION QUERY LIST.
Problem conclusion
TND3270 (WSForder) will now only check for the length = 5 if this is a READ PARTITION QUERY. If it's a READ PARTITION QUERY LIST, the length is not checked.
