Summary

Multiple security vulnerabilities in memcached, PCRE, and PHP affect IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience on Cloud Network Capture Add-On.

Installation programs for the Windows components of IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience on Cloud Network Capture Add-On are vulnerable to attack under certain conditions.

OpenSSL vulnerabilities were disclosed on December 3, 2015; March 1, 2016; and May 3, 2016 by the OpenSSL Project. OpenSSL is used by IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience on Cloud Network Capture Add-On. IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience on Cloud Network Capture Add-On has addressed the applicable CVEs.

IBM Tealeaf Customer Experience on Cloud Network Capture Add-On servers allow access to operational data and less privileged operations without authentication.

memcached is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error in the process_bin_delete() function within memcached.c file when printing the terminated keys to stderr. Workarounds and Mitigations

Access to local networks containing networked Tealeaf servers should be limited to avoid unauthorized access to or disruption of Tealeaf services.
Access to PCA systems should be limited as much as possible.
When running any Tealeaf Windows installation or upgrade program, ensure that the directory from which the installation is run and all other directories listed in the PATH environment variable do not contain untrusted versions of any executable files.
