What are the recommended java virtual machine(jvm) parameters for Atlas?
Cause
Causes out of memory exception if the parameters are not correctly set
Answer
The Java parameters as specified in the Atlas documentation are as below
- Initial Heap Size -1024
- Maximum Heap Size -1024
- Generic VM Arguments - -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
These parameters can be tuned after making a careful consideration of the following:
- Available Memory on the system
- Memory used by each jvm on the system
- Number of jvms running on the system
