Problem

Information Server on Hadoop jobs with data locality show "Data Locality constraints not satisfied" which can lead to increased startup time

Symptom

For a DataStage job accessing a Parallel Engine DataSet stored in HDFS, in the job log you could see:

Message Id: IIS-DSEE-TFSU-00303
Message: main_program: Considering the data locality information of HDFS data set /pathTo/dataset.ds

Which denotes that the job is running on Information Server on Hadoop and is leveraging data locality.

Another message in the log such as:
Message Id: IIS-DSEE-TFPM-00563
Message: main_program: Data Locality constraints not satisfied

Indicates that the requested data locality constraints were not fulfilled by the YARN ResourceManager.

This can lead to increased startup time for the DataStage job run.
