  • Encountered error 'Map 'Mapname' failed due to multi-threading
and common trace files'.

The error happens when using the command line to provide the
guaranteed unique trace file name.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
WebSphere Transformation Extender for IS 8.3.0.5 customers who
use mapping trace option in runtime with WMB or WESB

Problem Description:
Customer overrides using unique name the trace file before
calling the RUN map from WMB. The code fails the map since the
trace files were not allowed for multithreaded maps. The error
message reported in WMB trace is:
"failed due to multi-threading and common trace files"

Problem conclusion

  • Correct the code that checks is map suitable for multithreading
to let map with the trace enabled to run.
