Problem
Cannot Stop or Restart Analytic Server from Ambari
Symptom
When trying to stop or restart the Analytic Server service, the following message is given after 10 minutes.
Python script has been killed due to timeout after waiting 600 secs
On the Analytic Server host system, you may see multiple Analytic Server processes started, one being a hung stop process:
example: /bin/sh /opt/ibm/spss/analyticserver/<version>/ae_wlpserver/bin/server stop aeserver
The processes for Analytic Server can be seen with:
ps -ef | grep -i as_user
