APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Client is running batch FCH.  If the input DD contains one file,
    the job runs successfully, finding the expected strings.
    
    However, when multiple files are concatenated in the DD
    statement, abends occur.
    

Local fix

  • Run additional steps using one input file per step.

Problem conclusion

  • The File Manager Find/Change has been changed to sort the member
    list to be processed into member name within library order befor
    processing the selected members when the input file contains
    concatenated data sets.
