The Apache Commons Collections vulnerability CVE-015-7450 in handling the Java deserialization affects IBM Operational Decision Manager, WebSphere ILOG JRules and WebSphere Business Events. This vulnerability is addressed by this security bulletin.

Vulnerability Details

CVEID: CVE-2015-7450

DESCRIPTION: Apache Commons Collections could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by the deserialization of data with Java InvokerTransformer class. By sending specially crafted payload, an attacker could exploit this to execute code on the system.

Workarounds and Mitigations

None known, apply fix.

For ODM Insights v8.7.0 and v8.7.1, WebSphere Liberty v8.5.5.3 is used. Please do not use the jsf-2.0, jsf-2.2, ans jpa-2.0 features, as explained in http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21970575.
