  • On panel GOC4 'Compare Ignores' customers are entering the
'ignore changes' owner/name into the 'Saved Compare Results'
fields.

Problem summary


    

  •   USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Object Comparison Tool for
                  z/OS who specify ignore changes on panel
                  GOC4 'Specify Compare Ignores'.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In DB2 Object Comparison Tool for
                       z/OS, the Owner and Name options of
                       the 'Ignore Changes Specification'
                       field are confused with the Owner and
                       Name options of the 'Saved Compare
                       Results' on panel GOC4.

  RECOMMENDATION:

In DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS, the Owner and Name
options of the 'Ignore Changes Specification' field are
confused with the Owner and Name options of the 'Saved
Compare Results' on panel GOC4.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The layout of panel GOC4 'Specify Compare Ignore' fields are
updated to solve the problem.  Conflict checking of the
specifications for the options 'Edit Ignore Change
Specification' and 'Display using a saved compare result'
has been added.  Specifying 'YES' to both options is not
permitted and results in the following error on panel GOC4:

  Mutually exclusive opts.

Upon pressing the F1 key, the details of the error message
GOC01BE will be displayed:

  GOC01BE  The 'Edit Ignore Changes Specification' and 'Display
  using a saved compare result' are mutually exclusive options
  that cannot be specified as YES at the same time.
