Invalid password error when checking in a PKCS12 Certificate

Troubleshooting

Problem

We have a self-signed certificate in a .p12 format which included a password protected private key as well as the public portion of the certificate. We attempted to check this into IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) via Trading Partner > Digital Certificates > System > Check in > PKCS12 Certificate but received an "invalid password" message. I know the private key password is correct. How can I check this certificate into SI?
