Session Inference may impact performance of data merge and other processes on Guardium Aggregators

Troubleshooting

Problem

Performance of the data merge and other processes running on IBM Security Guardium Aggregators can be negatively impacted if the Session Inference functionality is running. Session Inference checks for open sessions that have not been active for a specified period of time, and marks them as closed. This functionality is irrelevant on Aggregators where there is no traffic collection occurs, but it rather creates a problem with the timely completion of data merge. Session Inference should not be running on Aggregators. Session Inference should be actively scheduled to run on all Guardium Collectors.

Symptom

Data merge and other processes are running slow on Guardium Aggregators if "Session Inference" is actively scheduled to run.
