Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' panel ADB2UT 'Table
Utilities' LO - Load (stand-alone, force review/modify options)
option built incorrect DB2 LOAD control statements for a
TIMESTAMP column.

Local fix

  • Manually correct the POSITION syntax.

Problem summary

*                 z/OS who use the DB2 LOAD utility.           *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DB2 Administration Tool panel       *
*                      ADB2UT 'Table Utilities' LO - Load      *
*                      (stand-alone, force review/modify       *
*                      options) option built incorrect DB2     *
*                      LOAD control statements for a table     *
*                      with a TIMESTAMP column.  After         *
*                      executing the LOAD job, the             *
*                      timestamp column will lose the          *
*                      microsecond part.                       *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Program cannot calculate the correct value of the end position
for a TIMESTAMP column in the LOAD control card.
