PQ83996: FP TRANSIT INCORRECTLY REPORTS PGM EXEC ELAPSED TIME FOR NON-IFP TRANSACTIONS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Fast Path Transit Analysis and Transaction Exception
  Summary report incorrect Program Execution elapsed time
  for non-IFP transactions.
  The Pgm Exec Transit time is the same as the DEDB call
  count because they are derived from the same overlaid
  field in the 5937 FP Sync log record (macro DBFLGSYN):
    SYNCDECL DS  H         NUMBER OF DEDB CALLS
    SYNCPRTM EQU SYNCDECL  PH 2 TIME FOR STATS
  FP Transit times are only applicable for IFP transactions.
  .
  All of the Transit times for non-IFP transactions will now
  be reported as blanks since they are not applicable.
  Use the Message Queue Transit Time Analysis and
  Transaction Exception reports to view the Transit Queue
  times for non-IFP transactions that use FP databases.

  The Fast Path Transit Transaction Exception Log and
  Summary reports incorrectly report Transit times for
  non-IFP transactions. Excerbating the problem is the
  non-zero Pgm Exec Transit time. It is the same as
  the DEDB call count because they are derived from the
  same overlaid field in the 5937 FP Sync log record.
