Error description
Customer has a single tcpip.data file that is shared between systems. The tcpip.data file contains system name labels with the associated keyword. The first statement that does not contains the system name label does not get used. For example: ABC: HOSTNAME ABC EFG: HOSTNAME EFG DOMAINORIGIN XYZ In this case, the DOMAINORIGIN statement does not get used which caused HOMETEST to fail with the following messages: EZA0605I Using Name Server to Resolve ABC EZA0609E Error: Found no IP addresses corresponding to TCP Host EZA0610E ABC EZA0624I * * * Hometest failed - configuration error * * * EZA0625I Please correct your TCP/IP configuration and run this program again. . KEYWORDS: HOMETEST PASCAL RESOLVER TCPIP DATA . VERIFICATION STEPS: Turn on TRACE RESOLVER. The output will show that one statement did not get used.
Local fix
Move the statements with system names to the bottom of the tcpip.data file.
