PQ69149: BLANK SCREEN IF ANY BOOKS IN DIRECTORY ARE INVALID

APAR status

Error description

• Customer gets a blank page when trying to add books from a
  directory that contains an invalid .boo file.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  *                 corrupt in an odd manor such that the length *
  *                 of the book is correct but its contents are  *
  *                 nonetheless not consistent with those of a   *
  *                 properly built BookManager Book file.        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND would occur during the         *
  *                      processing of some oddly corrupted      *
  *                      BookManager Book Files.                 *

  During Book file open processing, during the file validation
  phase, a copy of the jmp_buf that is set is carried in a
  structure.
  -
  That copy incorrectly contained only the first four bytes
  of the jmp_buf instead of the entire contents of the jmp_buf.
  -
  The code path containing the longjmp which uses the copy of
  the jmp_buf would be excercised very rarely.
  

Problem conclusion

• The copy into the structure which carries the jmp_buf data was
  corrected.
