QRadar Vulnerability Manager: Scan results score column does not reflect risk preferences settings

Troubleshooting


Problem

The risk scores in the Score column, in the Scan Results and Scan Results Asset Details pages, do not reflect the values set in the Risk Preferences dialog on the Vulnerability Assignment page.

Cause

The Risk Preferences dialog is used to configure settings for Vulnerability Risk Scores only. The Score column in the Scan Results and Scan Results Asset Details pages displays the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) temporal score for each vulnerability.

Resolving The Problem

This is expected behavior. The Score column in the Scan Results and Scan Results Asset Details pages uses default values and colors. You cannot use the Risk Preferences dialog on the Vulnerability Assignment page to configure the Score column in the Scan Results and Scan Results Asset Details pages. Values and coloring for Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) scores cannot be configured in QRadar Vulnerability Manager.
